MAD HATTER’S TEA PARTY SANDERSON

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Sanderson

This is one of the most popular afternoon tea experiences in London, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the trendy Sanderson hotel. I’m sure most of you know of it as this is most talked about online and in blog write ups but in case you didn’t know, this afternoon tea theme is based on the children’s book Alice in Wonderland.

Friends came to visit from Amsterdam so we thought it would be a great idea to enjoy a British classic with a twist on this particular weekend. It’s a unique experience from the traditional afternoon teas in London so if you fancy something a little different, I would suggest coming here.

I’m not going to write about sandwiches so thought I would show you my Mad Hatter’s Tea Party through photos:

‘Drink Me’ potion is by far my favourite. It’s 3 layers or sips of 3 sweet flavours, all in one little potion ! Mind blown.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Sanderson was overall a fun experience. We ooh’ed and aah’ed over the delightful sandwich rolls, creative little cakes and the delicious potion – definitely a unique experience!

The only downside would be that I don’t think the food deserves the price tag. The bill came to £48pp including service. Although the afternoon tea was based in the gorgeous Sanderson hotel and the novelty aspect of the experience was fun – I was still feeling a little hungry afterwards and thought some parts lacked in flavour.

  1. i’ve always wanted to try this! it was actually on my list and i ended up cancelling my reservation last minute because i just had afternoon tea the week before. it looks so cute and colorful but that sucks that it made you hungry after! i always get SO full off afternoon tea. thanks for being so honest in your review! now i definitely don’t feel bad skimping out on it–especially given that crazy bill. i paid a little less for harrods and i felt like a bluberry afterwards–so filling but so good!
So happy i came across your blog, Hayley! xx
