Could life get any better? After staying at Villa Hardevi, Nagisa Bali transported us to yet another Paradise Dreamhouse and her named is Villa Junno. This luxury villa is located in the sought after Canggu district, a haven for surfers, a laid back lifestyle and home to a fabulous foodie scene. When you enter the villa, you feel a whole world away from any hustle and bustle. Peace, serenity and satisfying cool towels and fresh juice greets you upon arrival.
The entrance is a lush leafy garden, echoing the natural beauty of the Balinese landscape and I felt calm and transfixed by an abundance of such beautiful nature.
This entrance is the gateway for 5 large double bedrooms comprised of a huge bed that surpasses a soft fluffy cloud, access to an outdoor leafy garden, large bathroom with a bath (made for two people) and an outdoor shower. Stunning. The natural beauty continues throughout the grounds and is enhanced by the charming design of the villa which architecturally wraps around the downstairs large garden and pool area.
As you descend the stairs leaving the leafy entrance and bedrooms, dotted around you see tropical trees, flowers, a large pond with a stone wall feature, an outdoor lounge, open air kitchen and dining area, outdoor shower, the dreamy pool – all while overlooking the private rice fields. This spot is truly magnificent and you have to check out your surroundings at least three times to let the oasis of your stay sink in.
What we like:
- Privacy, it’s oh so private.
- Location, location, location. The grounds are huge which overlooks stunning private rice fields and you’re just a scooter ride away from shops, restaurants and beaches.
- The villa is very ‘Instagrammable’. I mean, there are so many varieties of texturised backgrounds and features to take photos of. Just check out my Instagram, I think Villa Junno exploded over recent weeks.
- Bed. It was so difficult to leave this dreamy cloud every morning but we did wake up feeling on top of the world. Literally.
- The cabana overlooking the rice fields next to the pool, a great spot for winding down to read a book.
Staying at Villa Junno
We were greeted by Mr Pak Wayan (I’m on good authority that this is a very popular name here in Bali – thanks Mei!) and Agus. They have the most beautiful and caring souls which made us feel very welcome and at home. I was really blown away by their warmth and attentiveness to every detail, from recommending what there is to do in the area through taking me on a scooter ride to run a last minute errand.
Similarly to our stay at Villa Hardevi, every morning we were offered breakfast with fresh fruit offerings, coffee, juice and a choice of an American or Indonesian breakfast choice.
We feasted on a delicious BBQ banquet at Villa Junno, with all the local delicacies that we enjoyed at Villa Hardevi, BBQ seafood, lamb and fresh salad offerings – it looked a little something like this. Wauw.
Verdict of Villa Junno
This villa is a fantastic oasis to spend with family and large group of friends. Weddings are often requested here and I can see why, the grounds embrace both a grand yet intimate space to enjoy your special day. I believe what really sets Villa Junno aside from other villas is how intimate and individualised it is, given the sheer size of the property. I loved that there is plenty of Balinese charm which offers a unique experience compared to larger resorts, whilst still being utterly luxurious. I left Villa Junno feeling re-energised, rested and pampered. My only regret was that I wasn’t staying longer !
To stay at Villa Junno and to book the entire villa occupying 5 bedrooms sets you back from $510 per night, $102 per couple per night… very reasonable given your stay in utter paradise.
With special thanks to Nagisa Bali for your warm hospitality and for the beautiful Mei Lin for organising such a memorable trip.
